Sealie Shelton Meowie (Mia)
“Lucky” (Lucille) May Meowie (Sadie)
“Amy” (Anastasia) Sarah Whuffer (Ella)
“Scurvie” (Scurvy) Bones Pirate-dog (Abe)
“Pup” (Pupfield) Crossbone Pirate-dog (Abe)

Note:
As we have settled into Melkpad, we have been playing “Catland” –the game which we often play with all of our stuffed animals. Ella, Abe and Sadie told this story from the view of their stuffed animals. Enjoy!

Part 1: By Amy Whuffer (or Ella, age 8)

We were all knitting and almost bored out of our minds until Pup came in, and then I had it. I ran to my cave, gathered some of my possessions, and ran out to some caves that Pup had found. The reason we lived in the caves was because of the Abe-land soldiers, who had driven us out of our homes. Kitty and the Meowies were already at the caves. At the caves I was next door to the Meowies. However, our hiding spot didn’t stay secret for long. Soon, Scurvie went out and the Abe-land soldiers saw him and so thy shot bullets into the caves. So, that is how we came here. Currently, we are getting bored again.

Part 2: By Scurvie Pirate-dog (or Abe, age 6)

This crazy adventure started when Kitty told us about the mountain. Then we were like “Hey!!!” and then Kitty told us that we could only climb it once in our lives. Then, we started climbing and soon, although everybody else were some slowpokes, we made it to the top. We met the mountain and he gave us whatever we wanted. I wished for a dagger that could change into any thing, Pup, my little brother, wished for a pond of Sprite and candy in our backyard, and Lucky, my best friend, wished to share a room with her older sister, Hanna. Hanna wished for a house for her family. Sealie wished for a Mac laptop so that he could become a blogger like Kitty, who wanted just to have her family (financially) safe. Lastly, we get to Amy. She wanted… I don’t know what! She got a piece of paper that said “yes.” Then we went down to the house that Hanna wished for to celebrate with a cup of milk, but then a terrible surprise happened.

Part 3: By Hanna Meowie (or Sadie, age 11)

Then, a white pillar started coming at me. “Perhaps it is just an airplane’s remnants.” I said to Lucky, trying to assure her and myself at the same time. However, the “airplane’s remnants” was starting to swirl, and it was starting to come closer to us.

Finally, it was Kitty who said, “It’s a tornado.” After that, we ran as fast as possible, trying to go inside. But Lucky fell, and the tornado, which was already gaining on us, gained even more when I stopped to help her.
All of a sudden, something hit me, and the last thing I knew was I was falling down.

All of us woke up around the same time, which was helpful because the pit which we had fallen in was rather small. Eventually, we got out of the pit, and to our surprise, we found that the tornado had apparently done more than make us fall: it had blown us furniture!

Conclusion: By Amy Whuffer (or Ella)

And that is how we became neighbors again with the Pirate-dogs and the Meowies. After an adventure like this, you can’t help but be proud of your friends, and I sure am!

The Fight For Faith- Chapter 1

It all started when I came home from school and found my mom, sisters, and all the food, gone. This normaly would not be a problem. I mean, so what if your mom is gone? She could just be shopping for more food. Well my mom had promised that if she went out, a note would be there. I searched, and there was no note. And from the shape of the window curtains, she was kidnapped. O how I would love to say that I called the police and they found my mom and everthing was normal. No. I fainted.
I woke up an hour later with an ice pack on my head. The apartment manager was looking down at me, his face creasedwith concern. "You've been out for an hour, Jon. An Hour!" I got up. My head spinning. "My motheris gone." I said, trying to ignore the lump in my throat and the throbbing in my head. "I know." The manager whispered. "I searched the place for a note. Nothing." Then a knock sounded and we were interupted.
It was a girl, and she had long honey-brown hair that rippled as she walked. "Come." She said simply, and I followed. She walked to the old abandoned church and stopped about a foot in front of the ruins.
she was about to walk in when I  yelled, "Stop! I demand an explanation!" She turned to look at me. "Don't you think that I am giving out such little information for a reason? Please don't say a word until we are inside the church." With that, she turned, opened the door, and walked through. I followed. I expected to the the usual stuff, pews, torn up bibles, that stuff. but I was so surprised when I saw a desert instead of the inside of a church.

"Okay, we're inside the 'church' and now, you have to tell me what is going on." I said. "Fine she replied. "You just came from the city of destruction. We heading to the tents and upon arriving you will be given the nessesary iteam to be a soldier of the Lord." I was stunned after this mouthful, but the girl talked me in to walking. We walked five more minutes and soon, we cames to an group of tents near a river. "Welcome to the tents, " The girl said. "The preacher will be with you in a moment."
With that, she left me, again. It had been a really odd day, but the girl made it soung like I would be staying here for a while, If so, What would ordinary life be like?
As I was thinking all these things, the door, opened, and a voice said, "Jon, your time has come to meet  the preacher."

The Attack of the Barbarians: Part 2

"Let's just kill the Barb- what so evers and then rescue the princess!" cried Shockman. Shockma was the strongest of the knights, but his amount of knowledge was the lowest in all the kingdom. The wisemen just nodded and stoked their beards. Finally, Simeon, the head council member, (of whom had supposed equality in knowledge with Serlan), rose, still stroking his beard, and said, "Now Norman," (for so was shockman's real name,) "Is that the was to rescue the princess?" Shockman (aka Norman) growled at being called by his real name. "I suggest we should try the course of defense before the course of offense. Why don't we cover the walls in mud? Then the Barbarians will be afraid of it and we will be victorious! Mud is made of paint, cherries, milk, and tomatoes, but potatoes will be good enough, for tomatoes are the same thing as potatoes."
Every body clapped as Simeon sat down, stroking his beard quickly, for exitment."Let's Begin right away!" cried Lupus.

The Attack of the Barbarians: Part 1

Once there was a kingdom called Stapel. it was ruled by a king with the name of Lupus. King Lupus' land was full of brave knights; these knights all had one thing in common; they were practicly all mucle, and they all were very dull, in fact,All of Stapel was very dull. There was only one wise man in their lot, his name was Serlan. He was the great-great grandson of Merlan and the secend cousin of Gandolf, both of which are not mentioned in this this story. Serlan was in fact a wizard, and the best of wizards.Serlan helped King Lupus quite frequently and in many ways. today it was in the subject of war. The princess had just been taken and Lupus was just deciding what to do about it when he recieved a message from Serlan saying that he would be gone a few days on a fishing. Serlan didn't say why he was on a fishing trip in the middle of December, but as Serlan did say when he expected to return, Lupus was satisfied.(I did tell you they were dull) Lupus summoned all they "wiser" members of council, and so the meeting began.
